If you answer yes to any of these questions, your child will benefit from visiting our Centre for Speech and Language Therapy. Our lovely team of speech and language therapists can help your child to develop their speech and verbal skills through a blended model of online and/or in-person speech and language therapy supports from our Centres in Kildare, West Cork and Mayo.

Early intervention means better outcomes. After visiting us, your child will feel happier with their new skills and confidence in speaking and language!

Who is it for?

We work with children and adolescents of all ages and all abilities, including those with additional needs. We specifically work with children who are non-verbal, and who may have developmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders or Down Syndrome. How it works

Our Speech and Language Therapy Sessions are performed individually and focus on improving your child’s skill in:

  • Receptive Language
  • Expressive Language
  • Pragmatic or Social Skills
  • Articulation
  • Oral Motor Skills
  • Fluency
  • Voice

Through speech and language assessment, and therapeutic intervention, we work on language stimulation as well as your child’s production of speech. Each child’s selected goals will be achieved using evidence-based practice. Alternative and augmentative communication tools, such as computers, picture boards or the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) may be used to facilitate functional communication skills.

Please be aware that while some of our Sensational Kids Child Development Centres have waiting lists for therapy services, other centres do have immediate availability. We encourage you to use the form below to check the availability at your local centre. Alternatively, you may contact the centre directly to join the waiting list.

Your first appointment with Sensational Kids will be a parent consultation to assess your child’s needs.
