Our centres provide a comprehensive range of therapeutic services catering to children of diverse abilities.
Occupational Therapist Responsibilities:
- Deliver family-centred therapy, conducting occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children and adolescents through personalised and group sessions, primarily within clinic settings and occasionally in the community.
- Provide teletherapy services to children and families when appropriate.
- Collaborate effectively within the Occupational Therapy and Multidisciplinary teams to plan, deliver, and enhance professional services.
- Support and advise colleagues within the clinical team to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and other service-related gatherings.
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation utilising computerised clinical records systems.
- Assist in organising parent/teacher training sessions and provide guidance.
- Ensure the upkeep and safety of therapy rooms and equipment.
- Engage in continuous professional development activities and contribute to CPD opportunities.
- Contribute to service development and occasional training workshops for parents and educators.
- Support promotional activities for service enhancement and media communications.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties associated with the role of a Paediatric Occupational Therapist.
- Report directly to the Therapy Team Lead and Clinical Services Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy, validated for practice in Ireland.
- Ideally, a minimum of 1+ years of post-qualification experience in paediatric occupational therapy, including working with children with additional needs such as neurodiverse conditions, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing disorders, and Down syndrome.
- Accredited membership with the AOTI and CORU Registration are essential.
- Garda Vetting clearance and satisfactory references are required.
- Access to own car for travel purposes, including school visits.
- Demonstrated passion for paediatric occupational therapy with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Hours:
- Full-time positions entail a 35-hour workweek with flexible scheduling options.
- Part-time positions are also available.
Term of Employment:
Both full-time and part-time roles are permanent.
