This month marks the 6th anniversary of Sensational Kids Child Development Centre in Clonakilty, West Cork. Since opening in September 2018, the centre has supported 1,066 children, offering life-changing therapeutic services to help them achieve their full potential. 

In Ireland, 1 in 4 children has a special educational need, with approximately 420,000 children requiring additional support or accommodations. Sensational Kids provides early intervention to children with autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, Down syndrome, sensory processing differences, and developmental delays. By identifying and addressing developmental differences early on, Sensational Kids ensures these children have the best chance to succeed in every aspect of life. 

Sensational Kids Clonakilty offers a range of services, including Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Play Therapy, and Educational Psychology. These essential supports enable children to overcome challenges and thrive in their development.

Sensational Kids has transformed the lives of more than 10,000 children across Ireland, saving families over €3 million in therapy fees. With over 80,000 children on waiting lists for therapies such as speech and occupational therapy, Sensational Kids’ services offer families an alternative, bridging the gap between public and private services. 

Through a combination of fundraising, income from the Sensational Kids Child Development & Learning Store, and training workshops, the social enterprise subsidises therapy services, ensuring they remain accessible and affordable for all.
