Karl Maher is a Chartered Accountant with over 26 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and financial management. A native of Athy, Karl joined Sensational Kids following a successful tenure as Director and Partner at McMahon & Co Accountants, where he worked since 2007.

A graduate of Dublin City University (DCU), Karl began his career with John P. Greely & Co, where he trained from 1997 to 2002, gaining extensive experience in accounts preparation for sole traders and limited companies, taxation, audits, liquidations, and business finance proposals. He then joined Milne O’Dwyer & Co, leading a team of six in accounts preparation, audits, and tax work. While there, Karl also took charge of the IT department, implementing transformative changes to modernise work practices.

In 2007, Karl returned closer to home by joining McMahon & Co Accountants in Kildare. There, he built a reputation for his expertise in auditing small, medium, and large corporations, delivering management accounts, tax planning, and implementing quality audit systems.

In addition to his professional achievements, Karl is committed to giving back to the community. He was a volunteer director of It’s Good to Talk Counselling Psychotherapy Support Services in Westmeath, a charity focused on providing vital mental health services.
